Students from the Gesher Religious School will join with students from The Silver Academy and Temple Ohev Sholom to perform the children’s opera Brundibár.

Written in 1938 by composer Hans Krása, Brundibár later became a symbol of courage and resilience when it was performed by Jewish children in the Theresienstadt camp during the Holocaust.

The performance on Monday April 13 takes place in advance of the community-wide Reading of the Names program.  There is also another performance on Sunday April 19, which will be followed by a conversation with Holocaust survivor Odile Silberberg.  Go here for more information.
